Throughout our history, America's confronted constantly evolving danger, from the oppression of an empire, to the lawlessness of the frontier, from the bomb that fell on Pearl Harbor, to the threat of nuclear annihilation. Americans have adapted to the threats posed by an ever-changing world.

--B. Hussein Obama, West Lafeyette, IN Wednesday July 16, 2008

Which "bomb?" There were hundreds if not thousands of bombs dropped on Pearl Harbor. Or was he confusing Hiroshima with Pearl? Just like he's already been to 57 states with one more to go, not counting Alaska and Hawaii? Like his 8-10 year presidency?

Words cannot adequately express how much I loathe this man's inexperience, befuddlement, out-right lies, arrogance, snobbery, racism, condescension, and gall. God help us all if this Media puppet actually wins the White House.

Asked by ABC's Diane Sawyer Monday morning whether the "the situation in Afghanistan in precarious and urgent," McCain responded:

"I think it's serious. . . . It's a serious situation, but there's a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border," said McCain, R-Ariz., said on "Good Morning America."

Iraq and Pakistan do not share a border. Afghanistan and Pakistan do.

Oh, you noticed THAT! I'm impressed. Now, let's see you count up and tell us about those Obama mis-steps. I'll be waiting. Mom2

"Just how much Senate experience does Barack Obama have in terms of actual work days? Not much.

"From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That's how many days the Senate was actually in session and working.

"After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan.

"143 days -- I keep leftovers in my refrigerator longer than that.

"In contrast, John McCain's 26 years in Congress, 22 years of military service including 1,966 days in captivity as a POW in Hanoi now seem more impressive than ever. At 71, John McCain may just be hitting his stride."

Everyone makes mistakes. Obama's are either congenital, or borne of ignorance and lack of experience.....

    To say nothing of arrogance.

143 days. He is not at present fit to be President of the United States.

143 Days! That's 4 months 23 days. Just under 5 months. Not even HALF a year.

On top of this the Media fawns over this Liberal/Marxist Messiah, and is actively ignoring his shortcomings while all but coronating him King of the United States.

Freedom of the press? Sure. They're allowed. And because they ARE allowed, they should drop all pretense and just come out and tell the public who and what they are...

...Partisan hacks in the tank for, and up the Butt of, Barack "143 days" Obama. They should further cease their criticism of FOX News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham, because their criticism is become blatant hypocrisy.

And it's CRIMINAL, for the simple reason these Media pimps are attempting to foist on the United States of America a man who wholly unqualified to be President.

Hillary CLINTON has more experience than Barack Obama.

Well said! That about sums it up.

I'm repeating the obvious, but can you imagine if someone else was making these misstatements?

The media like Obama more than they like what little credibility they have left.

Get used to it, friends, get used to it. You've got eight more years of President Obama.

I hope you have the integrity to retract your words when it turns out he isn't a socialist nor an appeaser and the country is better off in eight years than it is today (despite the atrocity that has been the Bush presidency).

    Get used to it.

Or, you can always leave, if you truly think things are so bad.

Strong language EL. Later when you tought your civility I will remind you of these words.

Barack Obama meets all the qualifications and requirements to be president of the Untied States. He is an American citizen. He is more than 35 years old. He has lived in the United States for more than four years. Anything else are merely personal preferences.

So how long does one have to be a Senator before one can run for president? George Bush spent 0 days being a senator before running for president.

Dan... You are delusional. And an ass. And no, I will not apologize for speaking truth.

Ben... Since when have you ever needed an opportunity to stick the knife in? Go ahead and do it now...

By the way, Ben. George W. Bush served 4 years as Governor of Texas. What does Obama have? "Community Organizer" What, pray tell, is that? He helped poor folk fill out welfare applications? Organize protest rallies? How does that qualify as experience toward the office of President of the United States? It doesn't [Constitutional qualifications notwithstanding]. And this little junket of his to the Middle East? This doesn't qualify as foreign relations experience. One trip doesn't make a "community organizer" cum "143 Day U.S. Senator" a foreign-policy wonk. Perhaps a little more fairy dust will do the trick.

Next time you go on vacation I would consider it quite "courteous" if you'd let me know me ahead of time that you're telling Sales I'll be available to do your job while you're gone. I would never say no to Evelyn, of course. But it does tick me off that you threw my name on her desk without so much as a heads up to me.

You owe Production a "stocks macro" ...or at the very least an honest attempt at one.

I love it when you guys talk shop.

I heard a good one today:

Obama mentioned the Sunni tribal leaders being fed up with AlQueda's tactics and the Shiite militias standing down. He said that if not for that, his assessment of the surge would have been correct! Yeah, if Grossman didn't throw that interception, my prediction on the Bears game would have been right on!

It really hacks me when such things are brought up, as if the surge was irrelevant. As described in Michael Yon's book, the manner in which the troops conducted themselves in dealing with prisoners as well as Iraqi citizens, particularly since the surge, drew the sharpest possible contrast between us and AlQueda. This heavily influenced the Iraqi fencesitters to throw in with us. Yeah, many of them want us gone, but not at the risk that leaving too early would be.

Barry knows none of this. He's an incompetent fool. (What does that make his supporters?)

Evelyn asked me if in my absence she needed an ad built who should she look towards. I gave her your name. You have the greatest photoshop skills in production now. You have a committment to quality simillar to mine. I hoped you would see it as a opportunity to be creative. For creative you are. Should I have given her Nick's name? Toygar? Newman? Johnathan? If you wanted you could probably have my job when I leave WTVY.

I have not fixed the stocks macro because I hoped Nick or Newman would gain some initiative and fix it themselves.

Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress before being elected President. Previous experience is no guarantor of presidential quality. For what experience could prepare and qualify one to be president. Don't vilify him as some antichrist come to take over the nation. He is a man who thinks he can make the country better, by his definition. Just as John McCain does. All of Barack Obama's positions are standard Democrat boilerplate. He is no Socialist or radical.

If your personal politics are opposed to his then express that in words. But don't pretend he is some new manner of being, more awful and dangerous than anything come before. It only shows you are being led by spinmeisters, and have given over your own violition.

I often have to give myself the same message when reading liberal blogs. George Bush may have performed in ways I am opposed to, but he did not do it apurpose. He is not maliscious towards the country. He simply tried to lead the nation to the best of his ability - as any president does.

To me the best way to compare the candidates is to look at the policies they propose.
    Marshal Art said...
"To me the best way to compare the candidates is to look at the policies they propose."

Add to that their track record, for which Obama has none, or at best, none to speak of. Of what little there is, none speak more poorly than his extreme stance on abortion. His policy proposals don't impress in the least. His views on the war, and the region in which it is being waged, are down right stupid. No one who is involved in its execution speak well of his pull out position, neither in the effect it will have as well as if it's even logistically feasible.

I agree that the position of president is meant to be open to pretty much anyone, but that doesn't mean the voters should risk the future on someone like an Obama. Couple his lack of experience with his ideas and it adds up to all bad. Rhetorical style is about all he's got going for him, and that's far from sufficient.
    Dan Trabue said...

And you are entirely entitled to your opinion, no matter how ill-informed or wise.

As are the rest of us. And the majority of the rest of us LIKE what we're hearing from soon-to-be President Obama. We DON'T like the "More of the same" message we're hearing from McCain.

For that reason, and that reason alone, McCain will lose this fall and Obama will be our next president.

America. Love it or leave it. (I don't really believe the message behind that line, just throwing out one of the many lines that are often thrown around...)

And Ben is right: By the measures some are endorsing, Lincoln would have NO chance of winning the presidency.

Of course you don't like it. Liberals have wanted to lose this war since before it started. You hate the thought that we'll win there and have a democracy established in the Middle East. History will treat Bush far better than the pathetically biased MSM does today.

    Neil said:

Liberals have wanted to lose this war since before it started.

Neil, you are a grotesque liar and immoral moron. I tire of your twisted, twisting words.

You may legitimately DISAGREE with those who opposed this invasion, but you as a citizen and as a person bearing the name of Christ! have no right whatsoever to lie about our intentions.

Those opposed to the Iraq Invasion have not wanted to "lose this war," but rather have opposed what we believe to be an immoral invasion.

Disagree with our methods, but do not slander our intentions. You do not know what we our motives are and, where you try to guess what our motives are, you are consistently wrong.

And, as it has been pointed out repeatedly that you are misrepresenting our views, we have moved beyond the point where you may have been merely ignorantly misrepresenting others' positions to where you are speaking deliberate lies.

Have you no sense of Christian honor or decency, sir?

I apologize for the digression from the topic at hand.

ON topic, it is becoming clear that there is a MUCH more pronounced and real Obama Derangement Syndrome afoot - even before he is elected - than there ever was for Bush.

Fortunately, the irrational haters are a tiny minority that are becoming increasingly marginalized and rightly dismissed.

"Have you no sense of Christian honor or decency, sir?"

I love lessons on Christianity from people like you. Feel free to line up all of Jesus' views and let's see who is more in line with his thinking. Here are some starters:

Views on the OT: He thinks it is accurate, Neil thinks it is accurate, Dan does not.

Abortion: He is anti-murder, Neil is anti-murder, Dan thinks it should be legal.

Giving: He thinks we should give our money, I think we should give our money, you think we should give our money AND force others to give at the point of a gun - including those who don't follow him.

Marriage: He thinks the original and current design is for one man/one woman, Neil agrees, Dan disagrees.

Jesus says He is the only way to salvation, Neil agrees, Dan thinks ???

Jesus says there is a Hell for people who die without trusting in him, Neil agrees, Dan thinks ???

Hey, this is fun! I should do a whole post on this. Oh wait, I sort of did already: Opposites.
    Eric said...
"Immoral moron" That's uncalled for, but then perhaps you feel comfortable saying it because I called you an "ass" --which your most recent comment demonstrates. And to be sure, you are quite guilty of twisting just about everyone's words with whom you disagree.

"As a citizen and as a person bearing the name of Christ! [you] have no right whatsoever to lie[/distort]" anyone's arguments/positions with which you disagree. This and many other blogs beside are replete to the point of vomiting with Danian Rhetoric. We are all tired of it, I assure you.

"Disagree with our methods, but do not slander our intentions." You mean the way you slander the Right? Have YOU no sense of Christian honor or decency.... sir?

"...more pronounced and real Obama Derangement Syndrome afoot - even before he is elected - than there ever was for Bush." Remember these?

Bush blew up the levies in New Orleans.

Bush orchestrated 9/11. The jets, the controlled demolition of the twin towers, all so he could invade Iraq and kill Sadam?

And despite the [Liberal] fact that Bush is a complete "immoral moron" he had enough deviousness to hide his intention by invading Afghanistan first?

    Bush is a murderer?

    A war criminal?

The truth is, Obama is an empty suit. Propped up by the leftist and thoroughly biased Media. Go ahead and whore out your intellect for this media puppet if you wish, but don't expect the rest of us to drink from the same swill-filled cup. IF Obama wins in November-- and it is by no means a certainty, merely a possibility --we will deserve every bit of garbage and filth that he and Nancy and Harry cram down our throats.

How you can support a man who supports partial birth abortion and call yourself a child of God is in itself an abomination.

Now, before you get all indignant, the only thing I have to apologize for here is calling you an "Ass" ...how ever apropos, it was uncharitable.
    Anonymous said...
Dan, if you were truly apologetic for that "digression," you wouldn't have made it. Your apology appears in the very same comment as your attacks on Neil's character, so if you really regretted those attacks, you had ample opportunity to delete them before posting them.

    Your apology is dishonest.

Almost as dishonset as your faux outrage.

You admit that you think the war is immoral and that you oppose it, but you expect us to believe that you still want us to win it?

And you think a person who dares to find this position less than credible can only be a "grotesque liar and immoral moron"?

    I don't buy it.

Jesus says He is the only way to salvation, Neil agrees, Dan thinks ???

Dan thinks Jesus is the Way to Salvation. Dan thinks that Neil wouldn't recognize Jesus if he walked into his church today and called Neil a snake, a hypocrite and a blind guide. Dan thinks that Neil would call Jesus the anti-Christ and kick him out of Neil's Church.

This is fun. Let's dispense with civility and embrace a bit of hateful hedonism, is that what you're calling for, Neil?

"Liberals have wanted to lose this war since before it started."

I am standing behind this comment. Of course it may not apply to 100.00% of liberals (probably just 99.9%), but I think that is implied when using general labels.

    Here's how I see it:

    1. We are in a war.
    2. If we withdraw now before the conflict is complete, we lose.
    3. Liberals want us to withdraw now.
    4. Therefore, Liberals want us to lose.

Whether we win or lose will have huge impacts on the Middle East for the next 50 years. If we win - and we are now clearly winning - it will send a lot of positive messages to the world.

P.S. Millions of unborn human beings have been brutally murdered in the U.S. since the Iraq war began. Still waiting for the outrage over that unjust war on the unborn.

"And the majority of the rest of us LIKE what we're hearing from soon-to-be President Obama."

Which is more of the same tired Democrat nonsense that has been proven worthless. What remains is empty rhetoric which excites the starry-eyed worshippers of the Obamagod.

"...it is becoming clear that there is a MUCH more pronounced and real Obama Derangement Syndrome afoot - even before he is elected - than there ever was for Bush."

A not altogether unsuprising comment coming from the perpsective of a starry-eyed worshipper of the Obamagod.

Really, Dan. You guys are such sheep. Such lemmings. You are the rats for this Pied Piper. You whine about Bush putting oil guys in charge of overseeing energy stuff, thereby judging the character of people who have done nothing wrong, but names like Williams, Ayers, Dorhn, Retzko and others like them being attached to Obamanation are overlooked. Talk about unwise! It's abject stupidity!

There's a lot of buzz in the media this afternoon [Thurs, July 24] about the crowd of 200,000 gathered to hear Obama pontificate in Berlin. I don't, however, see much mention of the two free concerts set up in the same place to attract a crowd.

Yet another big no-no for Obama... it would seem Obama campaign staffers put up campaign posters at the entrance to the plaza where stands the wailing wall... One protester shouted, "Jerusalem is not for sale!"

Neither is the White House, my friend. Neither is White House.
