...One Dalai Lama at a time.

Obama has the Dalai Lama escourted out of the back door of the White House amid trash... Larger Image Here

Way to go BO!

Let me get this straight, Barack H. Obama has to fix all the damage George W. Bush did to our national image? And yet Barack, a purportedly pious Christian, cannot show simple courtesy to a more supremely pious man (despite his faith) in the Dalai Lama? Is it because the Dalai Lama isn't muslim? Cause BO bends over backward to appease those of his own Muslim faith (sorry... Stephanopoulos DID corrected him on that).

Here is a man exiled and persecuted... homeless, you might say... a man without a country. And yet the Christian Barack Obama can't show enough charity to let the Dalai Lama leave by the front door.... like he's some kind of an embarrassment... an untouchable.

This is what comes from being a Liberal, for one, and owing far too much money to China for another-- and not all of that is on GW, not even half of it.

I am yet again embarrassed by my president.

As far as embarrassment, Barry's the gift that keeps on giving. I see this episode and think back to Bush's challenge to the terrorists, "Bring it on!" The difference between the two presidents is stark as regards their personalities and character. Some liberal dweebs were incensed over Bush's challenge, but how else should a leader regard his enemies?

Well, I guess like Barry, who bows before them, apologizes to them, and rather than upset them in any way he ushers out the back door a visiting Dalai Lama. Shows rather well the depth of Barry's convictions that he would so easily cower in this manner.

I think you had the religion connection right the first time. I think most people talk about the things that mean the most to them and I seldom read or hear our President talk favorably about Christianity and it used to be quite the uproar in the press when our President did not attend church. mom2

Funny. Seeing y'all three complain about the president's actions regarding Christianity is sort of like when people who don't follow, say, the Dallas Cowboys pop off about some change in the roster. I mean, what business is it of yours how a Christian should behave?

He's a moral coward. On top of which he can't even extend proper courtesy to a man revered by millions of Buddhists. Whether I agree with the tenets of Buddhism or not is beside the point. Barack fails in his Christian duty to 1) "do unto others..." 2)is ashamed of the Lord Jesus Christ, and 3)can't even park his sorry butt on a church pew... ANY church pew.

If it's all the same to you, your criticism here rings terribly hollow. You took plenty of exception to George W. Bush and HIS failures, in the political realm as well as in his faith, but you'll defend a man who hasn't even made the slightest pretense (let alone effort) of Christian faith since gaining office. You're a fine one to lecture any of us, my friend.

But in answer to your question: 'What business is it of mine how a Christian should behave?' Resorting back to the previous paragraph, 'every bit as much as it is yours.'

I think it's the business of every Christian how every other Christian behaves. Particularly those in public and definitely those in public office. I expect our leaders and figures of authority to hold themselves to a higher standard than if they were just average joes. Though our true character is judged by what we do when no one can see us, our public behavior is a model to others, young and old, and thus as Christians we should conduct ourselves even better in public as encouragement, and demand better from Christians for the sake of us all.

This is similar to the racial profiling situation. That is, it is what I would expect from those who are profiled, if they object to being so. Conduct yourselves better and then no one will assume the worst. Consider the gang-bangers who no longer wear gang colors. It's to separate themselves from identificatin as gang-bangers. If Christians conduct themselves better, they separate themselves from the sinful so that we will be known by our actions.

    Since you brought it up.
