Where's the logic in this...

"We will kill Israeli civilians to revolt against Hamas..."

Why not kill Hamas? Because Hamas would kick our asses, and do the hated Israel a favor... Can't have that! No we'll merely hamper Hama's plans for a long-term cease fire by launching our own intifada. Nevermind the fact that Hamas only wants a cease fire agreement to strengthen their forces for a greater struggle, say, ten years down the road. Al Aqsa has obviously never heard the old phrase, "Good things come to those who wait."

From the article:

Fatah's Al Aqsa Brigades, will try to stymie efforts by Hamas to form a new government and sign a long-term cease fire with the Jewish state. Also, members of the Islamic Jihad terror group expressed disappointment their organization decided not to run in elections, and have warned they will stop Hamas from imposing a truce...

Abu Nasser [said] "...the Brigades will not respect any cease fire agreed to by Hamas and will not halt attacks at Hamas' request."

"I am sure Hamas will start arresting us, but it will not be that easy [for them]," said Abu Nasser. "We are preparing ourselves for the worst scenario."

Do I detect dissention in the ranks of Palestinian Madmen? This isn't the best of news for Israel, but it certainly has it's silver lining. Rumor has it that Israel would like to ring in the Palestinian territories creating an island-state out of Palestine, effectively cutting PA supply lines. So while the Muslim faithful are fighting amongst themselves they'll be less attentive to what Israel's doing.

I know; it's a lot of wishful thinking, but stranger things have happened. Let those crazy Muslims have their little power struggle. Hopefully Israel will use the time wisely.

UPDATE: Tovya says the encirclement plans are merely rumor. Thinking on it a bit more, I can't help but see such a plan as foolish, like unto deliberately taking a cancer into one's body... Not just foolish, but exceedingly dangerous.
