Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton advocated talks to settle differences with Iran but said Saturday that Tehran would invite U.S. action if it were to disrupt oil supplies.

"I will make it very clear to the Iranians that there are very serious consequences attached to their actions," Clinton said. The presidential candidate spoke at a town hall meeting with 300 people at a high school in a Democratic stronghold in early voting South Carolina.

The New York senator, responding to a question, said blocking oil shipments "would be devastating to the world economy."

If the U.S. took military action as a result, she said, "I would hope that the world would see that was an action of last resort, not first resort. Because we need the world to agree with us about the threat that Iran poses to everyone."

Sounds a lot like "War for Oil" to me. The reek of hypocrisy is eye-watering! Especially when you consider all the hypocrites by proxy who will vote for her in the primaries...

Which is why practically no one I know is supportive of Clinton.

That's good to hear, Dan, though I suspect 'practically no one [you] know' feels this way for different reasons than do I. But I'll take it.

She's way too conservative and self-serving for us...

Considering how Liberal she is, the very fact that you and yours believe her to be too conservative frightens me more than you know. Who could possibly be more Liberal than Hillary? And why would I ever want to see such a person win the white house?

She voted for this stupid war! She supports NAFTA and other free trade agreements! She accepts money from Big Corporations. She is tied to the Democratic campaign machine.

She is NOT a huge progressive.

She is more "liberal" than Bush, true, but she's the least progressive of the major Dem candidates.

Kucinich is easily more progressive than Clinton. And you should want him in there because he could stop these "Fair" Trade agreements, which hurt us here and there, he would advocate fiscal and environmental responsibility (which I know you support) and an end to military adventurism (quite UN-conservative in nature) and begin to help increase our nat'l security.

Kucinich is so progressive, he out-conservatives the "conservatives." That's why you should want him in office.
