This world is one big game of "Go"-- Black against White, Light against Darkness --and we all have a choice to make: Do we war FOR the Light?

...or against it?

A Curious......... Pseudo... Silence

Does anyone know why there isn't an uproar in the Muslim world over Israel's action against nuclear facilities in Syria? Stocked by North Korea, no less?

Oh, sure, you can find 1.99M hits with "Israel+Syria+Nuclear" on Google, but no great and terrible "row" [that's British for 'an angry dispute, or quarrel'] in the Muslim world... or the Western for that matter.

The United States and Europe have yet to condemn Israel for the action, or if they have little of it has filtered into the media. So what's up with that? Why is no one condemning Israel? Why is no one "seemingly" defending Syria?

What could possibly prompt someone [Israel perhaps?] to nuke Damascus? Is the stage being set for just this scenario?

Just for fun:

The Nuking of Damascus
By Marylou Barry

When the Hebrew prophet Isaiah wrote his biblical account some 2,700 years ago, he relayed a prophecy God had given him about the destruction of Damascus, Syria. He couched nothing in ambiguity.

See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins. The cities of Aroer will be deserted and left to flocks, which will lie down, with no one to make them afraid … though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines, though on the day you set them out, you make them grow, and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain … In the evening, sudden terror! Before the morning, they are gone! This is the portion of those who loot us, the lot of those who plunder us.” – Isaiah 17:1-2, 10-11, 14, NIV*

So, if I am reading this correctly, somewhere between planting and harvesting seasons in some unnamed year, someone is going to annihilate Damascus, Syria, with its million-plus population, in an overnight raid? The harvest will be “as nothing”? The attack will be “sudden terror” with survivors experiencing “disease and incurable pain”? Aroer (unclear, but possibly Jordan) will be likewise afflicted? Before the morning “they are not”? This information has been out there for over two millennia

Has anyone out there read Isaiah 17?

*Personally I don't care for the NIV. I prefer King James, but I am quoting someone else so....

Cryptic Rewrite

They're fixing a hole where the pain gets in
and stops my mind from wandering
where it will go
They're filling the cracks that ran though the jaw
and kept my mind from wandering
where it will go

And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong, I'm right
where I belong, I'm right
where I belong
See them standing over me
they tug and pull and feed me blues
then show me to their big red door

Now I'm painting my room in a colorful way,
and as my mind is wandering
there I will go
So I'm taking my time for a number of things
that weren't important yesterday
and I still go

Who wants to see the whole in my 'ead?

How Refreshing!

To actually go to a doctor's appointment and NOT have to wait more than 15 minutes in the lobby, more than 10 minutes in the examination room, and talk about the pros and cons of various diets; their strengths, weaknesses, and the anthropological sense they make, RATHER than "you gotta do this, Mr. Ashley, and that; take this, take that..." Instead, he says as he shakes my hand before leaving, "Always a pleasure, Eric, you're doing great!"

My high blood pressure is normal, WITHOUT medication, why? Because of my diet. Imagine that! It's actually true! Blood pressure CAN be controlled with diet alone. And imagine also, diabetes CAN be controlled with diet alone! [I'm not taking the meds everyday, but rather 1 day on, 2 days off (though I didn't tell the Doc that!)]

All my personal research is bearing fruit in terms of my personal successes. And I'm even losing weight. For the second visit in a row, the Doc has seen my weight drop in significant numbers... in spite of medication that inhibits weight loss!

All this simply goes to show, with Doctor Johnson voicing his own agreement, that modern medicine, in America, focuses too much of managing symptoms rather than addressing the underlying cause of symptoms. One thing he said stands out: As an student in med-school and in residency, young doctors soon discover that in adults disease is overwhelmingly something they have done to themselves through lifestyle, whereas in children it is predominately because of something they contracted from someone or something else.

The healthiest peoples tend to be those whose diets more closely resemble that of pre-industrialized societies. The closer to natural one consumes his food, the better the overall health of the body. Modern medicine is very good in terms of surgical techniques and procedures, but it's crippled by its inability to recognize the importance of diet in the health of patients.

Too many people blindly eat whatever the manufacturers put on the store shelves. With all the chemicals and additives in America's food supply it's no wonder we are such a sick nation; what with deadly excitotoxins, hormones, and chemicals added to the food supply to make it look better, taste better, and last longer. And it's no wonder-- to me, at least --that the net result is a populace that DOESN'T look better, doesn't FEEL better, nor LAST longer. The only reason life-expectancy is greater today than it once was is our ability to manipulate body chemistry through "creative" chemistries, primarily, and our advancements in medical technology. But QUALITY of life is actually worse than it once was, when you factor diet related illnesses such as Alzheimer's and Diabetes.

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again: YOU are ultimately responsible for your own health. YOU! Not your doctor, not your HMO, not your federal government. Want to drive healthcare costs down? Begin an aggressive reeducation of children in the hows and whys of good, natural, nutrition. All these fast food joints going to non-transfat frying, like KFC and McDonalds, do not address the problem at all. It's simply not enough. We should, as a nation, conduct a ruthless Pogrom on chemical additives, steroids, and hormones in the production of ALL foods. Food was certainly meant to taste good, but something is seriously wrong when what is IN the food addicts the consumer TO the food. Food it its natural state is hardly addictive. Our food was simply not meant to taste so good that we gorge on it, after all when was the last time you heard of anyone gorging themselves on a bag of apples because they just couldn't stop until the bag was empty? I've NEVER heard that one. But I HAVE heard of the guy who once ate an entire box of Cap'n Crunch in one sitting, with milk!

That guy was me.

I hate going to doctors, but today actually surprised me. Energized me, in fact. I feel good, because I know I'm on the right track, and I'm eating some pretty darn good stuff. But let me be clear on something. An admission, if you will: I DO on occasion eat at the bad places. In today's America it's virtually impossible not to, especially working two jobs. Three, if you count the time and effort I put into exercise and hygiene.

The best thing about today's visit? I can wait three months before returning for another! And that has NEVER happened since the diabetes... never so long between visits. Which can only mean, I am doing a lot of things right.

Have a good day everyone. I am.

Premiere Week

Okay. A lot of good shows on the tube yesterday. The premiere of Heroes, season two was as cool as I hoped it'd be. But enough of Heroes. At 9 was the series premiere of JourneyMan. I thought this was going to be a simple rehash of Quantum Leap, sans Dean Stockwell, but it turned out to be a lot lot lot cooler.

Perhaps the coolest premiere was Ahmadinejad's debut at Columbia University. Okay, so he's technically not a "Premiere" ...only a president. But that was perhaps the coolest introduction a terrorist ever got on U.S. Soil. Okay, the president of Columbia U. was only caving into the pressure of criticism for inviting the little monster in the first place. All that tripe about "Free Speech" and allowing foreign madmen prestigious forums on U.S. Soil while American citizens-- like that Minutemen guy Jim Gilchrist --get boo-ed and chased off the stage with little concern or apology from the aforementioned president of Columbia U., the esteemed Mr. Bollinger.

Yeah, Liberals love freedom of speech, provided only Liberals are allowed to exercise it.... and foreigners who speak harshly about George W. Bush.

Okay, so Ahmadinejad isn't a "Premiere"... just a president... but there's a lot more cool shows debuting this week. Tomorrow night is NBC's Bionic Woman.

Some shows premiered last week, like Kid Nation which had far more substance than I thought it would. Survivor China opened up last Thursday and for a show that jumped the shark with Survivor Allstars, it turned in an impressive first ep. The only other shows I'm waiting for are Jericho, Lost, and the final season of Battlestar Galactica, DEFINITELY the best show on television!

But I have to give props to President Bollinger who ripped-- for whatever reason --a new one for Ahmadinejad. He should have been arrested the moment he landed on U.S. soil... just as he should have been LAST year. We are after all-- according to prominent Dems and Dem Candidates as well as prominent members of media --in a proxy war with Iran already....

Oh, one other premiere worthy of at least a first viewing is "Caveman," the sitcom built upon the success of all those Geico commercials....

Congress: Lowest of Lows

Pelosi and Reid's Congress has logged the lowest approval rating ever... EVER... since they started taking polls. Bush's approval rating is almost 3 times theirs. Congress' magic number?

Not as in This is Spinal Tap...

"...if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do? Put it up to eleven."

...but rather, slightly more than 10% of poll respondents APPROVE of Pelosi and Reid's combined houses.

Absolutely Amazing! And yet all the media can seemingly report is how horrible Bush's numbers are. Talk about Clueless!

The fact that they [Democrats] trashed a 4-star general before the entire viewing nation-- to say nothing of the world! Calling him a liar in no uncertain terms, will only exacerbate their embarrassingly paltry approval number. Think it can't get into single digits?

Time will tell. As it is, Congress doesn't need an "extra push over the cliff." They're free falling as I type this. One question remains: Will they know when they hit dirt bottom? Or will they mercifully black out before the end?

Personally, I want them conscious. I want them to see, recognize, and know the damage they have done to this nation.

Better known by his pen-name, Robert Jordan will be greatly missed.
He died this past Sunday at the age of 58, much beloved by millions of fans, and almost as great a loss as the man himself, is the final novel in his twelve volume saga, A Memory of Light... Unfinished.

But all is well, for HE is in the light now. We who remain, who appreciated his matchless talent, have seen a great light gone out of the world-- Akin to Valinor's loss of Telperion and Laurelin, great light has indeed gone out of the world.

Where God Created Adam?

The secular government of Israel-- and seemingly devoid of any spiritual understanding, has inexplicably granted construction/destruction rights to Muslims on the Temple mount, even seeing giving the entire Temple mount to Muslims in a peace deal [this, at least, is Olmert's thought, and echoed by Israeli President Shimon Peres]. What? Give away the holiest site of ANY religion on the face of the planet to an ethnicity and religion that doesn't even KNOW God, who actively despise God? Unbelievable!

As to why the Temple mount is the holiest site ANYWHERE, well, anyone with a love for puzzles could tell you... Jerusalem has been at the center of every major Biblical event-- is still a 'burdensome stone' today --and will, according to the prophets and God Himself, play a very prominent role in the future; will in fact be the CENTRAL focus of the final days of this dispensation, and will act as the center of ALL things to come thereafter. No other place on earth does at present, or ever will match it in importance. Jerusalem is the Beginning and End of all events on earth. Some believe that this is where God created man.

Muslim caretakers of the Temple Mount complex have insisted for decades [for centuries!] that no Jewish Temple has ever existed upon the 'Temple' Mount, despite incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, but these Muslims are nothing if not very bad liars. They claim that the The Al-Aqsa Mosque has stood on the mount for more than two-thousand years-- despite the fact that Islam has existed for only 1387 years [1].

NO temple has ever stood on the temple mount, so say the Muslims, and yet while recently performing excavations on the mount Muslim workers uncovered a portion of wall believed by many Jewish religious leaders to have belonged to Herod's Temple-- the second Temple. Instead of allowing an inspection of the artifacts, these Muslims have begun instead to destroy the evidence... Like I said earlier: Liars.

But what Muslims believe about the Temple Mount's history, Jewish or Muslim, is ultimately irrelevant, though very instructive.

I think it's easy to believe, especially in light of the very brief lives we live, that the world exists now much as it always has. But this is not true. Just as a child grows to be a man, ages, and dies wrinkled and stooped, so too the earth has changed-- just ask Al Gore. Mountains rise and fall, rivers divert their courses over time. Lakes form, and dry up. In spite of this it's a safe bet that God, once He's begun a project, always finishes. And neither does He pack up and move when vaporous Mankind clutters his work-bench with trival claims of ownership, or the conflicts such claims engender. To His eye the work is only six days old, give or take an hour or two.

It doesn't matter what Muslims believe about Jerusalem or it's high Holy mount. Any honest trip through the Bible will show the traveler that this world's history has been a veritable tale of two cities-- in both religion and purpose. One Holy and the other unholy. Jerusalem and Babylon.

Of all the cities mentioned in Genesis, only two have held, and are promised, significant positions throughout history-- Jerusalem and Babylon... Salem and Babel. Salem was the city ruled by Melchisadec, a priest of the Most High; and Babel, the scene of Satan's attempt to raise his own thrown above that of God's. This world has been fighting the same conflict since Satan rebelled and took a third of the angels with him. And Satan has been obsessed with destroying and/or supplanting the work of God with his own ever since.

Many are under the false impression that Satan is God's equal opposite, failing to note that Satan himself is a created being, and therefore subordinate to God, the Father. Satan, as it is well established in scripture, is jealous of God's throne, power and position. He wants it for himself. And he's not the least bit happy about Jesus redeeming mankind-- it was, after all, Satan who put a crimp in God's original purpose with Adam in the Garden of Eden.

But God doesn't throw anything away He knows can be redeemed-- He is not the least bit wasteful.

The religious Jew sees Jerusalem as the center of the lost Garden of Eden, and the Temple Mount as the sight where God created Adam. Their basis for this is found in Genesis 2:10-14 and 1 Kings 1:32-46. The common denominator being the river Gihon.

The river that came out of Eden split into four heads, one of which was/is Gihon. The river that flowed out of Eden is not specifically named, but there's enough evidence to suggest it ran very near to where present Jerusalem sits. [there's a fascinating treatise on this topic here].

I can hear you now... 'But EL, the Euphrates is no where near Jerusalem, and the Hiddekel-- generally accepted to be the Tigris, likewise is just as distant.'

My response then is this 'You're looking at current maps! What was the topography of the region 1500 years prior to the Flood? When Adam and Eve enjoyed the splendor of Eden?

Anyway, as I stated earlier, God views Jerusalem with particular appreciation. It is called the 'City of God' with reason. But the Israeli government is largely run by secular hearts and minds, and Israel, as a nation, is still a valley of dry bones [spiritually speaking]; there has as yet been NO great revival in the land of Israel.

So what can American's do to stop what Olmert & Co. are allowing to happen on the holiest piece of real estate in the world? Call your congressman/woman and ask them to publicly threaten, on the floors of the House and Senate, to pull support of Israel as a nation if they continue to allow the continued wanton destruction of the Temple Mount... if they continue to court the idea of giving it all away. Anyone of you who sends money to charities that benefit Israel should send letters stating why no monies will be forthcoming until....

The Bible says to "Pray" for the peace of Jerusalem, and to "Bless" His holy people. But nowhere-- unless I'm severely mistaken --does it say we should support them in giving away their inheritance.

In the end, however, it's not going to matter. The Temple WILL be rebuilt, and I believe it will be in MY lifetime, or at least within the range of my lifetime-- I don't actually expect to be here when construction begins.

Finally. Satan has spent the last several thousand years seeking to pervert every truth of God, including the invention of religions in competition to what God has revealed through His chosen people, and Islam certainly fits that bill.

1- An approximation based on the events on the 'Prophet's' encounter with the Angel Gabriel in the ninth year of his 'mission'. An encounter during which the Prophet was given a choice between a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk. Choosing the milk, the Prophet was told he had chosen the 'True' religion, and thus, Islam was born. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

To Shine That Much Brighter

It is said the Egyptians built with eternity in mind-- perhaps inspired by the Sphinx itself which is older than Egyptian civilization. It’s said also, that Caesar found Rome brick and clay, and left it marble. The Pyramids still stand, the Coliseum still stands, the Acropolis still stands, but the Twin Towers do not. We build to satisfy our egos, but we don’t build for posterity. In three thousand years, will there be anything left in America to exemplify the culture of our time? Will we leave a mark, or will others leave marks upon us?

It’s been said of one era or another, "these are evil times…" but times are neither good nor evil. Rather, it’s the hearts and minds of Men that shape the times which create pain and suffering enough for others to name these times evil. World War II saw evil times; Hitler’s Final Solution, America's own use of atomic weapons. There were evil times in Korea, and Vietnam, and the killing fields of Cambodia, but the times themselves were not evil. Again, it was the hearts and minds of Men. The times are not evil, Men are. Change the heart of a man and you can change the world.

But can any one man or woman change the world? Can any one Nation make a difference? While it’s true the United States has had a hand in inspiring and helping to shape today’s world, it’s also true there are those who have resisted this change, seeing in the U.S. a great evil; rather to be destroyed than emulated. They cry out that the west meddles in things that don’t concern it, that it forces its own ideals and belief system upon nations incapable of defending themselves against its unwelcome intrusion. The Taliban government of Afghanistan recently arrested several westerners for trying to convert Muslims to Christianity; an offense punishable by death. Not too long ago the Chinese used tanks against their own people in Tienanmen Square, simply because they wanted to be more like the West. U.S. companies push such products as cheeseburgers, Coca Cola, and ‘decadent’ television programming upon starving third world countries. They turn a blind eye to those who see these companies as intruders, not as business adventurers; but as subversive attacks upon the core values of nations which didn’t want or even care about Kentucky Fried Chicken, before Colonel Sanders stepped off the plane. "We’re just making money!" the West cries, but others see this as an attempt to weaken their culture and their sense of national pride. When the Pharaohs built the great pyramids it’s certain they never envisioned Burger King moving in next door. China is only now beginning to open its borders to the West. They need the money; they want the money, but how much does that Big Mac really cost? How much will it cost the West?

‘But the West is decadent! It has lost its moral center!’ Many who hate her call America a Christian nation, and in this they demonstrate their ignorance. Certainly the United States was founded on Christian principles, but those principles have eroded over the last three centuries. America today is but a dim shadow of what it once was. ‘Christian’ is a word bandied about by everyone; the Right, the Left; the Agnostic and Atheist alike, but less than ten percent of avowed Christians even put their faith into practice. The mind of this nation has changed, and Morality is now viewed subjectively at best; where once the people held to a belief in God, and right and wrong were seen as black and white issues, is it any wonder Christianity has fallen from grace? Every nation we thrust our interfering hands into can see the truth in this, so why can’t we? Could it be the Emperor has no clothes after all?

Times have changed, however. It no longer takes months on horseback to reach the Pacific Ocean from the Big Apple. It doesn’t take years for ships to circumnavigate the globe. Weapon of war have also changed. Where once armies faced one another with swords and knives and spears, they now face each other not at all; they simply make a call and push a button. Where once they rained arrows down upon enemy ranks, they now rain devastation from the skies, leveling whole cities. War has become too clean, and so we balk when the children of the Third World use our methods against us, albeit with less finesse and less concern for innocents (though that point could be debated). But destroying ten thousand innocent lives is not acceptable, no matter who pulls the trigger, pushes the button, makes the call, or hijacks the plane. And justice should be required of everyone responsible, no matter where the blame falls.

Mercy, however, should not be forgotten. Any thought of revenge should be put aside. America should not concern herself with revenge; it is not a pure enough motive for what must be done. For what must be done is terrible in and of itself. A life for a life will not return said life. Death cannot be undone. And since it does not lie in our power to give life, we should be careful in our deliberations to take life. Hunt down those responsible, yes. Make them pay the ultimate price for their crimes, yes. But let us not take pleasure in what must be done.

Changing the hearts and minds of all men is impossible. It is human nature to set ones own needs above the needs of others, but its man’s capacity for self-sacrifice that sets him above nature. A dog can only be a dog, it cannot choose to rebel against millions of years of evolution; but man most certainly can. He can say to himself, "I could die in this collapsing building, but I will work anyway to save the life of someone who might yet be alive."

Today in Manhattan civilian volunteers are finding ways to make a difference; digging through the rubble, assisting in the hospitals, donating blood, giving money, praying or simply holding a stranger in their arms as they weep. This is man at his best. This is what he aspires to, but never seems to find until times like these. The times aren’t Evil, men are. But despite the times, it is comforting to know there is still good in the world, that Evil no matter its magnitude only serves to make Goodness shine that much brighter.

The Egyptians built things to last, as did the Greeks and Romans, but then they rarely saw anything so big as a jumbo jet fall from the sky. It’s not likely even the pyramids would have survived such an attack, but men could. And we will survive. That is what we do. Judgment must come, but so must rebuilding. Terrorists thought to destroy a national symbol; they think even now to force us into the bunkers for fear of other such attacks, but we must not give in to this. Find those responsible, punish them swiftly, with mercy, and then rebuild. The Towers are dead, but the ideal is not. Build a memorial to the lives lost, by all means, but rebuild. Show the enemy the measure of our strength, our courage, and our resolve. Rebuild and show the world that these places are sacred; the Spirit of America does not reside in buildings, but in the hearts of her sons and daughters.

Who will ever forget September 11, 2001? Who will ever forget the loss of so many lives, or the tears shed? Who will ever forget that at 8:50am ignorance took a stab at killing something that could not be killed? They have taken untold lives, but they have not destroyed America. Let us rebuild. Let us learn to build for posterity, and hopefully leave in our wake something that will endure.

Burns me up, too... bunch of hypocrites

Norman Hsu. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a huge scandal. It reaches into the depths of the Democrat establishment. It touches very deeply their presidential front-runner to the core, and the broadcast media have done everything possible to downplay it or ignore it. The same media that focused on what shoes Fred Thompson was wearing in Iowa -- hey, they were Guccis. I wear 'em, too. Way to go, Fred. Screw you, elitists. What the hell are you drinking and eating behind closed doors, and what the hell kinds of diamonds and jewelry and shoes are you wearing? Phony baloney, plastic banana, good-time rock 'n' roller rear-end orifices. I've had it. I have literally had it with these people. They're hunting down every Fred Thompson client, every Rudy Giuliani client ever represented in hopes of finding an embarrassing association. They've gotta look no further than down the end of their own noses to find Norman Hsu, and there is ample evidence that this is standard practice. This is the way business is conducted with the Clintons, going all the way back to Clinton's days as governor in Arkansas. And yet, where, my friends, are the investigative reporters? Where is our old buddy, Brian Ross, who couldn't wait to unload the details on Mark Foley? Where is Brian Ross?

Why don't we know where Norman Hsu's money came from? The guy was bankrupt just a few weeks ago. Where is his money coming from, and the people he's bundling money for, these poor Paw people, Paw family out there in California, lots of pets, no money. The mail carrier, donating 244 grand over three years to the Democrat party. How in the hell is this possible? Where is this money coming from? I thought that the media, the Drive-By Media, and the Democrats, were all concerned about campaign finance reform. Here we have a consistent pattern of Clinton and the Democrats taking money funneled from Asia to help fund their campaigns, people who have fled the country before they could be questioned. Hsu himself was a convicted crook. He jumped bail, he reestablished himself in New York, became a huge Democrat donor, he was on the lam for 15 years on charges in California while raising money for Democrats. He's caught. He jumps bail again. Now he's hospitalized under still-uncertain circumstances, quote, unquote. And what do the media want to talk about? Anything but Norman Hsu. Oh, no, no, can't embarrass the Clintons, can't do anything to derail that candidacy. Clinton campaign gets a couple questions thrown at them about it, no media frenzy, no persistent follow-up. (Clinton impression) "Why, I'm as surprised as I could be. Why, you coulda knocked me over with a feather when I found out that guy was on the lam." Mrs. Clinton is just as surprised with everything. She doesn't know diddly-squat about anything. And Clinton isn't alone, folks.

Remember that small, left-wing weekly out there in the Bay Area, broke a story a few months ago about how Dianne Feinstein, chairman of an important subcommittee overseeing military contracts, made millions through her husband's investment in certain companies during the war? The article describes extraordinary efforts by Feinstein using her official position to inquire into certain contracts, suggest certain directions the Pentagon should go with their contracts, and so forth. Where's the follow-up to this? You better believe, if this were Cheney and Halliburton, every reporter in the Beltway would be on this story, but it's died. It's gone away, no investigations, no hearings, no nothing, no ethics committee looking into it. This is very serious stuff. It really is. For all the talk about congressional oversight, the Democrats protect their own. There hasn't been a single hearing on Hsu by Leahy, Conyers, or Waxman. In the meantime, Republicans are eager to throw everybody on their own side overboard and under the bus. There hasn't been a single hearing on Feinstein and her husband by Pat Leahy, John Conyers, or Henry Waxman. There won't be, either, folks. There won't be any editorials demanding these hearings, either. They want to protect these liberals. They want to help them with their mantra about the Republicans' culture of corruption. And it burns me up.

Dollars to Doughnuts, He Votes 'Democrat'

The evidence?

  1. He's a resident of Broward Co. Florida.
  2. He works-- or rather blogs --for a Liberal rag.
  3. He doesn't believe in God.
  4. And has a poor grasp of Satire.

But why 'Democrat'? Surely there are atheist's (Oops! Sorry... Agnostics!) who vote Republican... Though I will venture out on a limb and say that number is very small. And surely there are Agnostics who write at Republican rags, and they could all, also, have poor grasps of Satire.

Some here would want evidence... numbers... but it's been my observation that these people only want numbers when they don't like the tone/tenor of the message. Democrats demand cold hard numbers, but even when they get them, they discount them as flawed because the 'numbers' haven't been 'gamed' by the Liberal *Ministry of Truth.

Republicans on the other hand tend to be more accepting of numbers, except when they come from the aforementioned Ministry of Truth. Anyone can game numbers, anyone can claim truth is on their side, but truth-- as I once stated on this blog --is on no ones side. And truth, like Lady Justice is color blind... seeing only Black and White; no shades of gray, nor even whiter shades of pale.

But Democrats can't see this. For Dems, Truth is mutable.... but allow me to move back toward the center of my purpose here by saying that this is THE key issue surrounding my complete and utter contempt for Liberalism, and most Democrats by extension. Because their philosophy of intellectual and ideological openness extends only to those things in which they approve or themselves support. In this they expose the depths of their own 'hypocrisy'-- that word gets bandied about a lot 'round here.

To then castigate ones' ideological foes as narrow-minded bigots while himself a 'narrow-minded' bigot is, I believe, a classic illustration of hypocrisy. So when a bona fide hypocrite-- by virtue of the fact that D. James Kennedy has a place in hell, despite Bob's abject disbelief in that 'Realm of Perdition's' very existence --then when called on the virtual carpet for his 'insensitivity' resorts to a position of cowardice by claiming his 'Essay' was poorly constructed satire-- in lieu of an apology. Even going so far as to claim to 'come' from Christians... even having Christian friends.

Sounds like bigotry to me, the same kind that makes excuses for itself by claiming to have 'black friends' or 'gay friends' while trying to build oneself up as a paragon of tolerance. And this is the nature of Liberals, specifically, and Democrats in general; their tongues are fertile fields of Truth, their hearts: gardens of Justice. Yet the fields lie fallow, and the gardens provide naught but stone for bread...

"If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."

Well, if Bob can cowardly retreat to the skirts of his poorly constructed satire, I can stand firm and unyielding before my brilliantly constructed sarcasm. And unyielding disdain. Listen closely, Bob, and you'll hear me mutter, not at all under my breath, with a contemptuous spit at your feet...

"Filthy Democrat! You're what's wrong with this nation! You're responsible for America's moral ambiguity, for it's outright hostility of Godly values. How dare you level charges against James Kennedy while so obviously ignorant of Spiritual matters? And your apology is anything BUT! An 'apology' masquerading as thinly veiled insult."

It takes a pretty sick, disgusting ideologue to cowardly attack a man at his wake. Did he ever bother to publicly attack the man of God while he yet lived? While he tirelessly and joyfully performed his Lord's will?

I find it highly amusing that those who claim to not believe in Hell repeatedly invoke it's fiery wrath upon men of God they particularly despise-- are there any they don't? --like Jerry Falwell, and now, D. James Kennedy.

Bravo, Bob! Well done! Thanks for that stunning display of gracious liberal aplomb, and Democratic moral superiority.

Don't look for any satire here, Bob. You'll find the furniture matte and unvarnished.

*Dude! If you haven't read George Orwell's 1984, you're a cultural moron.
