And I say irrelevant because of the audacity school systems in other states have already displayed in forcing children to march in gay pride parades. From OneNewsNow.com,
Chicago children march in gay pride parade...or not
According to the [Chicago] Tribune, the school's fence is adorned with thousands of green, blue, purple, and red strips of fabric -- each hand-tied by a student. A sign by the gate stated that the elementary school will "be the first Chicago public school to march in the city's gay pride parade." The sign also stated that the school believes that family means everybody.
According to the Chicago Tribune...
Think about this a moment. Children who are, by every standard, too young to make any critical decision on whether or not homosexuality is healthy-- let alone moral --without instruction from adults. It is the SCHOOL's belief that "family means everybody", not the children.
This is outrageous. American children are so far behind the rest of the world in the essentials of classical education; science, literature, history, you name it. But lessons American school children seem to excel in are multiculturalistic, humanistic hoo-haw, and social indoctrinational curriculums espoused by the liberal teachers unions. Our children are being taught to be liberals... not intelligent free-thinking individuals.
They can be taught that anal/oral sex, i.e.; Homosexuality and Lesbianism, are socially acceptable behaviors, but the Bible cannot even be allowed on campus, let alone its God invoked over lunch without consequence.
This is the world we live in: That which is moral is being taught to as immoral and hideous, while that which is immoral and hideous is being taught to as moral.
No wonder everyone is confused.

It's not so much about indoctrination as it is recruitment. Not to mention a source for victims of their pedophilia.
-record high dropout rate
-recent surge in murders
now this. . .
It's time America pulled out of Chicago.
Shame on the theologically liberal Christians, without whose silence and/or support none of this could happen.
Yes, it is child abuse.
They also violate the second commandment: "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them" Putting their love of sexual perversion above or beside God is a violation of the first and second Commandments.
They also violate the 3rd Commandment: "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain" To insist that God blesses homosexuality, as some do, is taking God's name in vain. It attributes to God something that Satan would teach.
It violates the 7th: "“You shall not commit adultery." Having sex with anyone other than your spouse is adultery. A man cannot have another man as his spouse, and a woman cannot have another woman as her spouse, thus, a violation of the 7th Commandment.
And, lastly, it violates the tenth Commandment: "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's." The tenth Commandment speaks to desire. Homosexuality is motivated by desires that are unseemly and an abomination to God.
If you read the link the next three paragraphs after EL's quote,
"OneNewsNow contacted Nettlehorst Elementary School and requested an interview with school principal Cindy Wulbert. However OneNewsNow was informed that she was unavailable, but the person who answered the phone told OneNewsNow that the school does not endorse the gay pride parade; neither is it participating in the event.
She also told OneNewsNow that some of the parents of students were participating in the event with their children but that, again, the school is not supporting that effort. When asked about the strips of fabric, OneNewsNow was told that they do not exist.
Laurie Higgins is with the Illinois Family Institute and was also told that the school was not participating in the event, but that parents and students who are participating can identify themselves as being a part of Nettlehorst elementary. Higgins was also informed that the sign referred to in the Tribune did not exist."
The story EL is quoting from isn't actually the Chicago Tribune news article it's the One News Now Website and they don't provide a link to an actual Chicago Tribune article either.
Weak tea EL. Very weak tea.
In case that doesn’t convince you perhaps the Windy City Times piece:
http://tiny.cc/ZUb9T
Anyone who has passed by Nettlehorst Elementary, 3252 N. Broadway, is likely to notice the colorful rainbow fence surrounding the playground. And if you read the placard that is part of the display, you'll learn that the school is the first public school to be marching in Chicago's Pride Parade. ( Photo by Robin Schachtel. )
But then again some girl who answered the phone said otherwise.
Nice try Bent
Weak tea? Who the hell made you the final arbiter of veracity? Nobody. In the grand scheme of things your opinion means nothing... certainly not to me.
Chicago school to march in Pride Parade:
Nettelhorst Elementary School to show solidarity with surrounding gay community
Weak tea indeed. I found this in under 15 seconds. So what if OneNewsNow didn't provide a link; You rarely provide links for the folderol you pull out of your backside.
There is nothing misleading in what I quoted.
Perhaps you should have done a little investigation on your own to determine if what I offered had merit? But no, you know better than anyone else here. You don't have to lower yourself to perform something as droll as a Google search because you know everything already. And far be it from you to explain WHY I mislead everyone.
Everyone knows you're you're an unbeliever, so it's not surprising you seek to tear down anything I or another believer has to say about the state of faith in America or around the world. You hate what we stand for, which is why you delight in tearing down the walls we seek to build.
The difference between us is, you think you're better than we are. As for us, we KNOW we're not any better than you.
would the 1986 movie The Fly be considered good Sci-fi? also how about meeting me at my house and we'll walk down to the marina and get some hostess fruit pies and a couple of comic books.
SAM:)
"meet me at my house" --that could be anyone.
"walk down to the marina" --well, now, that's more specific, and I can only set this scenario in one setting... Tyndall AFB.
Fruit pies? That one went right over my head... funny, the things we choose to assign significance.
"and a couple of comic books" --this fits with the Tyndall marina so,
SAM must be [and having said that, I'm most likely wrong] Scott A. Mersnick?
Brother's Eric and Bobby(?), and sister Rebecca(?).
If I'm right... Man! That was what? 35 years ago? Rosenwald Jr. High? I still have some of those comic books.
What I remember of Scott Mersnick... He's the one who turned me on to the Beatles. I remember him banging on the drums and belting out "Why Don't We Do it in the Road"
I've looked for Scott and Eric Mersnick online. Googled them both and came up empty.
I'll send you an email with my contact info later ,right now I'm a little hung over so I'm going back to bed.

This morning I hit my bookmarks to access my e-mail as soon as I got on the computer. I accidentally hit the book, ark for classmates.com instead of aol, and there, right before my eyes was the name of a guy I knew from the old neighborhood!
We were not in High School at the same time, as he would have entered high school the same year I graduated, but the significant thing about the guy is the fact that he didn't finish high school, at least, when he should have, because he was in jail! He had been arrested and tried, at the age of 16, as an adult, for murder!
Yes, this guy had shot a man, point blank, in the back of the head and then robbed him of 40 cents.
The last I have heard, this "old friend" had gotten out of jail in about three years, only to go right back in on a drug conviction. As far as I had known, he was still in jail. Perhaps he is. I know they allow inmates to use computers these days.
